What customers say?

“ I stumbled upon this charming café, and it's like no other I've been to before. The atmosphere here is something special—cozy and filled with lush greenery in every corner, thanks to the abundance of plant pots. It instantly sparked my creative juices and inspired me to dive into some writing. The coffee here is not just delicious; it's a warm, comforting hug in a cup, paired perfectly with some light, scrumptious bites. If you're in need of a serene and inspiring escape, make sure to check out this café. It's a little slice of paradise in the midst of the hustle and bustle. ”

“ Such a cute spot!! It has a “hole in the wall feel” which I love. It has plants everywhere and the design of the place is so cute and cozy. Staff was also wicked friendly. There aren’t many bar seats but they have plenty of table seating. I got the avocado toast + bacon ($1) and it was the best I’ve ever had. You’ll spend around $15-$20 per person here if you get a drink and food. They had specialty drinks for Valentine’s Day, I got one w/ matcha, white chocolate and raspberry which was SO good. I will be coming here again. ”

“ This is my new favorite spot! I discovered it because of the RI Food Fights Iced Coffee Celebration and I'm so glad I tried it out. I had a breakfast sandwich and their specialty RI Food Fights iced coffee and both were so so good! They also had adorable plants for sale and plenty of tables for sitting and chatting or getting work done. ”

“ Dissent (formerly Seed Cafe) is such a gem of a coffee spot for people who really love and understand coffee. (Coffee nerd alert!) I wish my husband had been able to experience this place. (He’s Australian, and they’re notoriously picky about their coffee—we live in Brooklyn and he complains about subpar coffee all the time). I did bring back some beans for him from Dissent, and he loves these beans so much we will likely try to order more at some point if possible. I talked to Michael, the new owner of Dissent for a while, and to explain away some confusion, the place has undergone a significant transition in the past couple of months. It is not doing sandwiches atm, (though may bring in pastries down the road). I’m more a tea person, and to my delight, found that Dissent also offered various specialty teas on their menu. I tried the Dragonwell, London Smog, as well as their matcha latte on different days, and they were all excellent. I hope this place sticks around! It is hard to find coffee spots like this in the U.S. ”

“ Really great small local business find while visiting RI. Breakfast Sandi was awesome (you can BYO) and tried the delicious Salty Sap (an espresso latte with maple). They sell really cute plants and the vibe is great. Owners were there abd so nice. No upcharge for non-dairy milk subs. Cool building. ”

“ The server was the sweetest person, gave Mylo a pup cup with a little cookie on top. The ambience is tastefully decorated. There are plants and artifacts from local artisans for sale. Perfect gem to study in the outside area. By far the best hot chocolate in town. ”

“ Great coffee, great food, and great people. This is a relatively new coffeeshop, in the lower floor of an old times shopping mall. We got a coffee and a late, both were great. I believe the coffee was a pour over. There were multiple micro roasted beans to choose from, which I chose a light roast. We also had a bagel and a sandwich, both were very delicious. This place is ideal for a meet up with friends, or a date, or just bringing your book or laptop and that sort of stuff. I’d certainly go back! ”
